About
What shall I tell you about myself? I’ve been writing about old games and, to a lesser degree, classic computing for about ten years. The main function of this blog is to provide me a central place for announcements regarding my various web projects, like, for example, Download Central.
Why did I call this blog The ISA-Bus?
It was the whim of a moment, really, since I noticed the ISA bus is a good symbol for the time I mainly cover. In the widest sense, it spans the 20 years from 1981 (when IBM released the first PC) to 2001 (when the last standard mainboards with ISA slots were produced); in a stricter sense, the time between 1988 (when the term was coined) and about 1997 (when Microsoft and Intel began their war against it).
That’s about it.
This is great, I wished if you can provide kind of listing that shows games names and display screenshot or game menu, I am looking for an old game, not remembering it’s name at all, tried to search games by release date as I remember it’s 90th 3D game, but still cannot find it, was thinking if there is really a complete game-database with search date/name/publisher/screenshot will be great …
Thanks anyway for the great blog too, I guess you can add 2d/3d categories to the list too, also 90th, 2000+, just a suggestion
Thanks again
You could try MobyGames, you can browse the games by year and by categories, and they usually have screenshots, though you can’t directly browse them by thumbnail.
I have two screenshot galleries. There is Svatopluk’s DOSBox, which contains nearly every screenshot I have taken since September 2007, and a smaller collection of game screenshots (only one per game, mostly), sorted by platform and genre.
